Appointment Scheduling
- Home visit appointments must be scheduled in advance by phone or email.
- Appointment confirmations will be provided via phone or email.
- Clients are required to provide a detailed address and ensure that the location is accessible for the Physiotherapist. Please advise the therapist of parking restrictions and provide a parking permit if applicable.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
- Cancellation Policy: Clients are required to notify DML Physio at least 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule a home visit appointment.
- Late Cancellations: A cancellation fee of £50 may be charged for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. This is at the discretion of DML Physio.
- No-Show Policy: If the client is not available or does not answer the door at the scheduled time of the home visit, the client will be charged a no-show fee of the full price of the session.
Home Visit Fees and Payment
- Home visit appointments will incur an additional travel fee if the property is outside of a 5 mile radius of the business address. This will be charged at £1 per mile. E.g. If the property is 10 miles away from the business address, a travel fee of £5 will be billed. The travel fee will be communicated prior to confirming the appointment.
- Payment is due in advance of the appointment, either in cash or through online transfer (as applicable).
- Fees:
- Initial appointment – £120
- 60 minute follow up session – £110
- 45 minute follow up session – £100
- Written report – from £50
Health and Safety
- The client is responsible for ensuring that the home environment is safe and suitable for the physiotherapy session. This includes having enough space for exercises, providing clear access to the treatment area, and maintaining a safe environment free of hazards.
- The Physiotherapist reserves the right to refuse service if the home environment is deemed unsafe. In such cases, the cancellation policy will apply.
Consent to Treatment
- By agreeing to the home visit, the client provides informed consent to the treatment plan outlined by the Physiotherapist. The client acknowledges that treatment may include physical therapy techniques such as manual therapy, exercises, and other forms of intervention. This also includes consent to send information to a specified email address of the client.
- The client may withdraw consent at any time, understanding that they may be charged for the portion of the service provided up until the time of withdrawal.
Duration and Scope of Treatment
- The duration of home visit sessions is typically 45 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the nature of the treatment. If additional time is needed, this will be discussed and agreed upon with the client in advance.
- The Physiotherapist will assess the client’s needs and provide the most appropriate treatment plan based on the client’s condition. However, the scope of the treatment is limited to what can reasonably be performed in a home setting.
- The Physiotherapist may advise that the treatment is carried out in another more suitable location. Eg. Gym, swimming pool, or outdoors.
Late Arrivals and Delays
- If the client is not available at the scheduled time of the home visit, the full session fee may still apply.
- The Physiotherapist will make reasonable efforts to inform the client of any delays or changes to the schedule, but the client is expected to be available at the scheduled time.
- If the Physiotherapist is unable to attend the session. The appointment will be rescheduled with no charge.
Privacy and Confidentiality
- All personal and medical information shared during the home visit will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. This includes any information disclosed during the consultation, treatment, or in client records.
- DML Physio complies with all applicable laws regarding the privacy and confidentiality of client information. Information will not be shared without explicit consent, except as required by law.
Liability and Responsibility
- DML Physio and its Physiotherapists are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damage that occurs in the home environment during or after treatment, except in cases of proven negligence.
- Clients must inform the Physiotherapist of any existing medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations before treatment begins.
- Clients are encouraged to inform the Physiotherapist if they feel unwell or experience discomfort during treatment.
Amendments to Terms and Conditions
DML Physio reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be informed of any significant changes, and continued use of the home visit service will constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
